Kidneys, the Breath, and Resonance: A Franklin Method® Workshop for Singers
Friday, February 20th, 10:00 – 11:30 am | Free!
Each day, your kidneys travel roughly half a kilometer, just moving up and down as you breathe. In this Franklin Method workshop, we’ll learn the position of the kidneys in the body, and how to feel their movement in daily activities. We’ll look at how the diaphragm and kidneys move in relation to one another to increase the feeling of expansiveness and ease in the breath. We will look at ways this work can support good alignment for vocal resonance. Working with the kidneys is also a great way to increase a feeling of relaxation in the back, and to promote a general sense of calm.
This workshop is for adult singers of all levels.
